When the Location feature is on, yourphone’s standby screen will display the icon.When Location is turned off, the icon will be displayed.

MessagingSettings

Staying connected to yourfriends and family has never been easier.With yourphone’s advanced messaging capabilities, you can send and receive many different kinds of text messages without placing a voice call. (For more information, see “Accessing Messaging”on page 137.)

Messaging settings make text messaging easierby letting you decide how you would like to be notified of new messages, create a signature with each sent message, and create yourown preset messages.

SettingMessageNotification

When you receive a message, yourphone notifies you by displaying an icon on yourdisplay screen.You can also choose to be notified with a message notification on yourdisplay screen.

1.Press >Settings>Messaging>Notification.

2.Select Message&IconorIconOnly and press .

DeletingOldMessages

Delete messages you have read wheneveryou like, or have yourphone delete them automatically foryou.

Toautomaticallydeletereadmessages:

1.Press >Settings>Messaging>Auto-Delete.

2.Select OnorOff and press .

SettingMessageAlerts

When new messages arrive, you can choose to have yourphone notify you by playing an audible alert.
