Yourphone provides convenient ways to enterwords, letters, punctuation, and numbers wheneveryou are prompted to entertext (forexample, when adding a Contacts entry orwhen using Sprint Mail and SMSText Messaging).

1.From a screen where you can entertext, press the right softkey to change the text input mode.

2.Select one of the following options:

Abc to cycle through the alpha characters associated with the letters on the keypad (see page 30).

T9Word to entertext using a predictive text-entry system that reduces the numberof keystrokes required to entera word (see page 29).

123 to enternumbers by pressing the numbers on the keypad (see page 31).

Symbols to entersymbols (see page 31).

Smileystoenter“emoticons”(seepage31).

Settingstoentermessagesettings.

RecentMessages toenterarecentmessage.

PresetMessages to enterpreprogrammed messages (see page 31).

PresetSuffix to enterpreset prefixes and suffixes such as http://www., https://www., www., .com,

.net , .org, .edu, .wap, //, “, “”, (), {}, [], <>, and<<>>.
