TROUBLESHOOTING & REPAIR

CONTROL BOARD POWER SUPPLY TEST

Service and repair should be performed by only Lincoln Electric factory trained personnel. DESCRIPTION

This test will determine whether the weld control power supply from the control board that supplies power to the weld control circuit, display, 2-4 switch circuit, and CV SCR drive cir- cuit is defective. A defective power supply can cause loss of weld output and loss of weld control.

MATERIALS NEEDED

5/16” Nut Driver

Multi-Meter

Commander 400 Wiring Diagram (See the electrical diagrams section of this manual)

Control PC Board layout (See the electrical diagrams section of this manual)

This procedure takes approximately 40 minutes to perform.
