3. Remove the main and back-up batteries. See “Battery Re-
placement” f or details .
4. Turn over t he MobilePro and locat e the screw that secu r es
the ROM or RAM b ay cover.
5. Using a small s crewdriver, remove the s c r ew and the bay
cover. (The MobileP r o does not power on when the ROM
bay cover is removed.)
6. With the small screwdriver, remove the screw on the
ROM or RAM module.
7. Gently lift u p the ROM or RAM module to dis c onnect it
from its connector a nd r emove it from the bay.
8. Insert t he u p graded ROM or R AM module into the bay,
aligning the connector on the module with t he one in the
bay.
9. Gently press on the module just above the connector s until
the connection is secure.
10. Repla c e t he bay cover and cover s crew.
11. Install the main and back-up b a tteries. See “Ins talling
Batteries” for details.
NOTE
The MobilePro will not power on unless the
ROM bay cover is secure and the battery l oc k i s in
the locked position.
RESETTING THE MobilePro
Occasionally, you may need to reset you r MobilePro H/P C.
Before resetting the MobilePro, back up your data to the
desktop or notebook comput er , if possible.
