1. Stop the erpcds service from the Control Panel. Then open a
DOS command shell andman uallystart erpcd w ith the -D
option.
2. Place theRe moteAccess Concentrator into Monitor Mode.
(This resets the Remote Access Concentra tor,so warn users
beforeyou do it.) Then, at the monitorprompt, enter:
monitor:: boot -v
When the Remote Access Concentrator boots in Monitor Mode, the
serviceport terminal displays the load server host’s Internet address, and
indicates whether it receives a response to its Open File Request and to
anyof its Read File Requests. The host’s progress reportindicates receipt
of any File Server Requests and its responses to such requests.
The host displays erpc_return0 if it successfully receivesa request and
is sending out an affirmativeresponse. If any Remote Access
Concentrator-relatedfiles are missing or cannot be installed, contact
technical support.

When troubleshooting aM odel5399 configured as a load server host:
1. Use ping froman yhost on your network to make sure the
Model 5399 Remote AccessConcentrator can be reached.
2. Either use telnet or na to verify the unit’s configuration.

information on these commands.
A Model 5399 that hasbeen reconfigured as a load server host, but not
rebooted, cannot boot another Model 5399 on the network. Rebooting
the Model 5399 load server host ensuresthat the parameters are set.
Do not set the preferred dump address to point to another Model 5399
Remote Access Concentrator.Set it to a host address, or to 127.0.0.1 to
disable dumping.
