Self-booting the Remote Access ConcentratorThe Remote Access Concentrator comes equipped with Flash memory
that contains an operationalim age you can use to self-boot the module.
Toself-boot your Remote Access Concentrator, perform the following
steps:
1. Initializethe IP address parameters using the manual
initializemethod.
The manual initializationmethod is described in “Manually
Initializingthe IP Address Parameters”onpage2-26.
2. Enter the sequencecomm andat the monitor prompt.
The followingprompt is displayed:
Enter interface sequence [net]::
3. Enter self,ne t asthe sequence.
The monitor prompt is displayed.
4. Enter the boot command at themonitor prompt.
The display lookssimilar to this:

Requesting default boot file “OPER_64_ENET.SYS” for
MOP/VMS\ loads and “oper.64.e net” for all other
protocols. Unanswered requests shown as ‘?’,
transmission errors as ‘*’.

Load Completed
The self-boottakes 10 seconds to complete. Once the Remote
Access Concentratorhas booted, Monitor Mode is no longer
active.
