Using a keyboard with an IP Phone

Follow this procedure to use a keyboard to enter alphanumeric characters, instead of the dialpad. See Figure 4 "IP Phone 1150E connectors" (page

22)for the location of the USB port.

After you connect a keyboard to the IP Phone, you can:

use the keyboard to enter telephone numbers and special characters, such as * and #

use the function keys to control the telephone while you are on a call

use designated keys to perform specific actions

 

The following table lists the function keys and their associated action

 

during telephone calls.
