Taking Pictures with Manual Focus

Use this function when you want to fix the focus or when the distance between the lens and the subject is determined and you do not want to activate auto focus.

1 Slide the focus switch to [MF].

•AF: Auto focus

•AFw: AF Macro mode

•MF: Manual focus

2Move the joystick e/r to focus.

•The manual focusing assistant B appears.

•The MF assistant disappears 2 seconds after you stop operating the joystick.

•The moving focus indication C disappears 5 seconds after you stop operating the joystick.

3 Take the picture.

nMF assistance

Move the joystick e/r while [MF ASSIST] is set to [MF1] or [MF2] to enlarge the picture to help focusing.

This allows you to focus on the subject more easily.

1 Press [MENU/SET].
