The extended optical zoom does not work in [HIGH SENS.] (P68) in scene mode so the picture size for [EZ] is not displayed.

In motion picture mode [i], the picture size is fixed to VGA (640×480 pixels), QVGA (320×240 pixels) or 16:9 (1280×720 pixels or 848×480 pixels).

Pictures may have a mosaic-like appearance depending on the subject or the recording condition.

Refer to P128 for the number of recordable pictures.

The number of recordable pictures depends on the subject.

The number of remaining pictures may not correspond with recorded frames.

When the quality is set to [RAW], a JPEG picture with the quality equal to the Standard [H] is created at the same time. The JPEG file is also erased if you erase the associated RAW file.

The maximum resolution (P86) for each aspect ratio is fixed if you select [RAW].

You cannot set quality to [RAW] in high sensitivity mode in scene mode.

The following functions cannot be used for pictures recorded in [RAW].

Picture editing at higher levels becomes possible when you use RAW format files. Press [MENUSET ] to display the [REC] mode menu and select the item to set. (P81)

RRecording still pictures with audio

You can record audio with the still picture if this is set to [ON]. This means you can record the conversation that took place when you were recording or an explanation of the picture.

When you set [AUDIO REC.] to [ON], [I] appears on the screen.

When you start recording by focusing on the subject and pressing the shutter button, the audio recording will be automatically stopped in 5 seconds. There is no need to keep pressing the shutter button.

Audio is recorded from the built-in microphone of the camera.

If you press [MENU/SET] during the audio recording, the audio recording will be canceled. The audio cannot be recorded.

You cannot record pictures with audio in auto bracket, burst mode, when the quality is set to [RAW], or [STARRY SKY] in scene mode.
