Before Use

About The Mode dial

Adjust part A to the desired mode.

The mode dial can be rotated 360°. Rotate it slowly and surely to adjust to each mode. (Do not adjust it to parts where there is no mode.)

A

L: Program AE mode (P26)

The exposure is automatically adjusted by the camera.

M: Aperture-priority AE (P53) The shutter speed is automatically determined by the aperture value you set.

N: Shutter-priority AE (P53) The aperture value is automatically determined by the shutter speed you set.

O: Manual exposure (P54)

The exposure is adjusted by the aperture value and the shutter speed which are manually adjusted.

i: Motion picture mode (P75) This mode allows you to record motion pictures with audio.

: Print mode (P110)

This mode allows you to print pictures from

aPictBridge-compliant printer connected directly to the camera.

: Scene mode (P62)

This mode allows you to take pictures depending on the recording scenes.

0: Auto mode (P30)

This is the recommended mode for beginners.

Q: Playback mode (P36) This mode allows you to play back recorded pictures.
