Preparation

Attaching the Lens Cap/Strap

nLens Cap (supplied)

1 Remove the lens cap.

2 Pass the string through the hole on the lens cap.

3 Pass the string through the hole on the camera.

4 Attach the lens cap.

nStrap (supplied)

1 Pass the strap through the hole at the Strap Eyelet.

Check that the strap is firmly attached to the camera.

When you turn the camera off, carry the camera or play back the pictures, attach the lens cap to protect the surface of the lens.

Detach the lens cap before turning on the camera in the recording mode.

When the mode dial is set to one of the recording modes and the camera is turned on with the lens cap attached, the message [REMOVE LENS CAP AND PRESS q BUTTON] appears. After removing the lens cap, press the q cursor button.

Be careful not to lose the lens cap.

When detaching the strap, use a pointed object to loosen the knot and then detach it.

When using the lens cap and the strap at the same time, attach the strap before the lens cap. If you attach the lens cap first, it may become difficult to attach the strap.
