3.10.3 Symbols and operations for caller

information

What “,” means
,” on the display means the call has already been
viewed or answered.
If the same person calls more than once
The number of times the same caller called (×2 to
×9) will be displayed. Only the date and time of the
most recent call will be stored.
Example:The same person called 3 times.

Press {OFF} on the cordless handset or {STOP} on the
base unit.
To edit a telephone number before calling
back/storing
While displaying a desired caller information, press
{Edit} (soft key) on the cordless handset or {*} on the
base unit repeatedly. Each time you press {Edit} (soft
key) on the cordless handset or {*} on the base unit,
the telephone number will be changed as follows:
A Local telephone number only (area code omitted)
B Area code – Local telephone number
C 1 – Area code – Local telephone number (“1” added)
LTo return a call, press {TALK} or {SP-PHONE} on
the cordless handset or {SP-PHONE} on the base
unit.
LTo store the number in the cordless handset
phonebook, follow from step 2 of the cordless
handset storing procedure on page 27.
LTo store the number in the base unit phonebook,
follow from step 3 of the base unit storing procedure
on page 27.
3.11 Caller ID number auto edit feature
Once you call back an edited number, the unit can
automatically edit other incoming phone numbers each
time you receive a call.
For example, you can use this feature to set the unit to
ignore the area code of callers in your area code, so th at
you can call these local numbers using caller information
without dialing the area code.
To activate this feature, you must edit an item in the caller
list, then call that number. After that, calls from that
caller’s area code will be edited automatically.
This feature can be turned ON using either the cordless
handset or the base unit. The default setting is ON.

Note:
LThe cordless handset and base unit can remember
up to 4 area codes each to be edited. Phone
numbers from the 4 most recently edited area codes
will be automatically edited.
LThis feature will not be activated until edited numbers
are called back.
LIf you move to another area, you can turn this feature
OFF to erase previously edited area codes. To use
this feature again, turn it ON and reprogram the area
codes you want to edit once again.
