Answering System Features
4 To stop recording, press {GREETING REC} or {STOP}.
L To change the greeting, start again from step 1.
Note:
L You can use the enhanced recording mode for clearer sound, if necessary (p. 55).
L If “ ” is displayed, 6 beeps sound and “Your greeting was not recorded. Record your greeting again.” is announced, start again from step 1.
L To adjust the speaker volume, press VOLUME {<} or {>} during playback.
L 9 levels
To play back the greeting message Press {GREETING CHECK}.
Erasing your greeting message
Press {GREETING CHECK}, and then press {ERASE} while your greeting message is playing.
L If you do not
Pre-recorded greeting message
If you do not record a greeting message, one of 2
–When the recording time is set to “1min”, “2min”, or “3min”:
“Hello, we are not available now. Please leave your name and phone number after the beep. We will return your call.”
–If recording time runs out, the unit will automatically switch to the “Greeting only” mode, and no new messages will be recorded.
–When the recording time is set to “Greeting only”:
“Hello, we are not available now. Please call again. Thank you for your call.”

Turning the answering system on/off
Using the base unit
{ANSWER ON} and Indicator
Press {ANSWER ON}.
L When the answering system is turned on, the ANSWER ON indicator lights and the unit announces “Answer set” and the day and time. If “Answer set. Set time” is heard, set the date and time (page 15).
L When the answering system is turned off, the ANSWER ON indicator turns off and the unit announces “Answer off”.
To turn off the Answering System, press {ANSWER ON}.
Using the handset
1Press {MENU}.
2Press {Select} at “Message play”.
3Press {8} to turn on the Answering System.
L “Answer set” is heard.
