ff If the lamp unit is not installed properly, remove it and then push it in slowly. Pushing it in quickly or forcibly may break the connector.

1)Set the <MAIN POWER> switch to <OFF> and disconnect the power plug from the power outlet.
ff Wait at least one hour and check if the lamp unit has cooled down.
2)Remove the lamp cover. (Fig. 1)
ff Use a Phillips screwdriver to turn the lamp cover fixing screw (x1) counterclockwise until it turns freely, and slide the lamp cover slowly in the direction of the arrow to remove it.
ff Opening the lamp cover quickly may result in falling.
3)Remove the lamp unit. (Fig. 2)
ff Use a Phillips screwdriver to turn the lamp unit fixing screws (x3) counterclockwise until they turn freely, and remove the lamp unit. ff Hold the handles of the lamp unit and remove it straight.
4)Push in the new lamp unit while paying attention to the insertion position.
ff If the lamp unit is not installed properly, remove it and then push it in slowly. Pushing it in quickly or forcibly may break the connector.
5)Use a Phillips screwdriver to firmly tighten the lamp unit fixing screws (x3).
ff Make sure to attach the lamp unit securely.
6)Attach the lamp cover.
i)Perform Step 2) in the reverse order to attach the lamp cover.
ii)Use a Phillips screwdriver to firmly tighten the lamp cover fixing screw (x1). ff Make sure to attach the lamp cover slowly and securely.
Note
ff When you replace the lamp unit with new one, the projector resets the runtime of the lamp unit automatically.
Air filter unit
When the dust remains after cleaning, the filter replacement timing has come.
The Replacement Filter Unit (Model No.: ET‑RFE300) is an optional accessory. To purchase the product, consult your dealer.
How to replace the air filter unit
Attention
ff Make sure to turn off the power before replacing the air filter unit.
ff Make sure that the projector is stable, and perform the replacement in a safe place where the unit will not be damaged even if you drop the air filter unit.
1)Remove the air filter unit.
ff Refer to “Removing the air filter unit” (x page 131).
2)Attach the optional Replacement Filter Unit (Model No.: ET‑RFE300) to the projector.
ff Refer to “Attaching the air filter unit” (x page 132).
Attention
ff When using the projector, be sure to attach the air filter unit. If it is not attached, the projector will suck in dirt and dust causing a malfunction.
