Chapter 4 Settings — [PROJECTOR SETUP] menu

[ECO MANAGEMENT]

This function optimizes lamp power according to the operating status to reduce power consumption.

Setting [LAMP POWER]

Switch the brightness of the lamp according to the operating environment of the projector or the purpose.

1)Press as to select [ECO MANAGEMENT].

2)Press the <ENTER> button.

ff The [ECO MANAGEMENT] screen is displayed.

3)Press as to select [LAMP POWER].

4)Press qw to switch the item.

[AUTO]

Power is automatically adjusted so that optimum luminance is obtained according to the brightness of

input signals.

 

[NORMAL]

Select when high luminance is required.

[ECO1]

Power is lowered by about 25 % on average compared to the [NORMAL] setting.

[ECO2]

Power is lowered by about 30 % on average compared to the [NORMAL] setting.

Note

ff When [ECO1] and [ECO2] are set, you can reduce power consumption and operation noise, and extend the life of the lamp. ff When [LAMP POWER] is set to [ECO1] or [ECO2], [AMBIENT LIGHT DETECTION] cannot be set.

ff When [PICTURE MODE] (x page 64) is set to [DICOM SIM.], [LAMP POWER] cannot be set. [LAMP POWER] is fixed to [NORMAL].

Setting [AUTO POWER SAVE]

Set whether or not to enable the three functions, [AMBIENT LIGHT DETECTION], [SIGNAL DETECTION] and [SHUTTER DETECTION].

1)Press as to select [ECO MANAGEMENT].

2)Press the <ENTER> button.

ff The [ECO MANAGEMENT] screen is displayed.

3)Press as to select [AUTO POWER SAVE].

4)Press qw to switch the item.

ff The items will switch each time you press the button.

[ON]

Enables the energy conservation setting.

[OFF]

Disables the energy conservation setting.

5)Press as to select [AMBIENT LIGHT DETECTION], [SIGNAL DETECTION], [SHUTTER DETECTION].

[AMBIENT LIGHT

Adjusts the power of the lamp according to the brightness of the installation location.

DETECTION]

 

[SIGNAL DETECTION]

Lowers the power of the lamp when there is no signal.

[SHUTTER DETECTION]

Lowers the power of the lamp when the shutter is closed.

6)Press qw to switch the item.

ff The items will switch each time you press the button.

[ON]

Enables the setting.

[OFF]

Disables the setting.

Note

ff When [AUTO POWER SAVE] is set to [OFF], settings of [AMBIENT LIGHT DETECTION], [SIGNAL DETECTION], [SHUTTER DETECTION] are unavailable.

ff When objects, etc. are placed around the luminance sensor on the top of the projector, [AMBIENT LIGHT DETECTION] may not function properly.
