Press to select control of other components (see Controlling the rest of your system on page 60).

RECEIVER

Switches the remote to control the receiver (used to select the features such as SLEEP, MCACC SETUP, etc). Also use this button to set up surround sound (page 43, page 49).

3RECEIVER CONTROL buttons

STANDARD

Press for Standard decoding and to switch between the various Pro Logic II and Neo:6 options (page 37).

ADVANCED SURROUND

Use to switch between the various surround modes (page 38).

STEREO/DIRECT

Switches between direct and stereo playback. Direct playback bypasses the tone controls and channel levels for the most accurate reproduction of a source (page 38).

MIDNIGHT/LOUDNESS Switches to Midnight or Loudness listening (page 41).

CH SELECT

Selects a speaker when setting up the surround sound of the receiver (page 51).

LEVEL +/–

Adjusts the levels of the surround sound of the receiver (page 51).

TEST TONE

Sounds the test tone when setting up the surround sound of the receiver (page 51).

MUTE

Mutes the sound (or restores the sound if it has been muted).

EFFECT +/–

Adds or subtracts the amount of effect with different advanced surround modes (page 38).
