Installing the InfiniPath and OpenFabrics RPMs
Linux distributions of InfiniPath and OpenFabrics software are installed from binary RPMs. RPM is a Linux packaging and installation tool used by Red Hat, SUSE, and CentOS. There are multiple interdependent RPM packages that make up the InfiniPath and OpenFabrics software.

Each set of RPMs uses a build identifier xxx and a distribution identifier yyy. The distribution identifiers for this release are rhel4 and sles10. The RPM distribution identifiers are listed in Table

NOTE:
RPMs contain config files. Your current config files will not be overwritten when the new RPMs are installed. New config files contain the suffix .rpmnew and can be found in the /etc/sysconfig directory. Check the new files to see if there is anything you want to add to your standard config files.
