Recording Menu — Gain Up (Slow Shutter)
The gain up feature allows you to take bright and natural recordings even in areas with low or poor lighting.

To Set Gain Up
1.Make sure the mode select dial is in
MANUAL.
2.Press the MENU button. The recording menu will appear in the viewfinder.

3.Press 4 or 3 on the mode select dial to highlight Gain Up.
4.Press 5 or 6 on the mode select dial to select ◆ A , ◆OFF, or AGC.
•Select ◆ A to have the shutter speed automatically adjusted from 1/30 to 1/60 second.
Notes: Shooting a subject in low or poor lighting at 1/30 second shutter speed provides a brighter image than in the AGC mode, but the subject’s movements are not as smooth or natural.
When the LIGHT OFF/AUTO/ON switch is in ON or AUTO, the A is disabled.
•Select ◆OFF when lighting is not a problem.
•Select AGC to have recording appear brighter and movements more natural and smooth than when recording in the auto (◆ A ) mode. However, the overall appearance may be “jagged”.
5.Press MENU to exit the menu.
