To Turn Off a Production Effect

Press 16X9/AE MODES to

highlight OFF.

Note: The effect will be turned off and the menu will automatically be removed from the viewfinder in approximately two seconds.

Indicator	Menu	Function
	Cinema
		The camcorder records black bars at the top and
		bottom of the picture to produce the wide-screen
		effect. This is also known as “letter box” recording.
		Use when you play back your recordings on a 16X9
		TV.
	Sepia	Gives your recording a brownish tint like old photos.
		Combine with cinema mode for a classic look.
	Sports	Use to clearly capture fast-moving action with less
		blurring. Use when playing back the recording on a
		VCR featuring special effects, such as pause or slow
		motion.
	Back–Lit	Use when the subjects are in front of a window or
		with the sun to their back. Compensates for subjects
		appearing too dark because of backlighting.
	Front–Lit	Use when there is a strong front light on the subject
		such as spotlights. Compensates for subjects
		appearing too light because of strong front lighting.
	Classic Film	Faster strobe images in black-and-white that offer
		the vintage look of a film being shown on a movie
		projector. Use it with cinema mode to add an
		authentic movie theater look.
	Strobe	Your recording looks like a series of snapshots.
		Light sensitivity lets you light dark subjects or areas
	Slow Shutter	brighter than they would be under good natural
		lighting. Use only in dark areas. Your picture takes
		on a strobe-like effect. If the image is out of focus,
		adjust the focus manually. The manual focus
		indicator may flash. Use a tripod for better stability.
