8. Troubleshooting

This chapter provides solutions to common problems and it also explains how to correct unwanted print results.

Error & Status Messages on the Control Panel

This section explains what the messages that appear on the control panel mean and what to do when a particular message appears.

Status messages

Message	Explanation	Recommended Action

Calibrating...	The printer is calibrating.	Wait a while.

Cancellng Job...	The printer is cancelling a print	Wait a while.
	job.

Cooling Down...	The printer is cooling down.	Wait a while.

Offline	The printer is Offline.	To start printing, switch the
		printer to online by pressing the
		[Stop/Start] key on the control
		panel.

Please wait	The printer is waiting for the next	Wait a while.
	data to print.

Printing...	The printer is printing.	Wait a while.

Processing...	The printer is printing.	Wait a while.

Ready	This is the default ready	The printer is ready for use.
	message.	No action is required.
		No action is required.

Warming up...	The printer is warming up or	Wait until "Ready" appears on
