Chapter 7. Connecting External Devices

→For more information on the tones switched when Program Changes are received, refer to the MIDI Implementation (sold separately). Order the MIDI Implementation from your RG-7 dealer.

1.Press the [Function] (Exit) button, getting its indicator to light.

2.Press the [Song] (Select -) button or [ ] (Select +) button to display the MIDI screen.

3.Press the [Song] (Select -) button or [ ] (Select +) button so that the value set for “Bank Select MSB,” “Bank Select LSB,” or “PC” is flashing.

■Sending Recorded Performance Data to a MIDI

Device (Composer MIDI Out)

When Composer MIDI Out is active, you can send performance data recorded with the RG-7 to a connected MIDI device or computer.

When you turn on the power, this is set to “Off” (data is not sent).

If you want to transmit a performance recorded on the RG-7 to an external MIDI device or computer, turn this setting “On.” If this is “Off,” the data will not be transmitted.

4.Press the [ ] (Value -) button or [ ] (Value +) button to set the Program Change number, Bank Select MSB, or Bank Select LSB.

5.Press the [Function] (Exit) button so the indicator goes out.

3.Press the [Song] (Select -) button or [ ] (Select +) button to get the value for “Composer MIDI Out” to flash.

4.Press the [ ] (Value -) button or [ ] (Value +) button to switch the song’s MIDI Out setting on or off.

Value	Description
On	The performance data recorded with the

5.Press the [Function] (Exit) button so the indicator goes out.
