Initializing the User Memory or USB Memory
You can completely erase the content of the User Memory or USB memory and restore the original default factory settings (initializing).

The following content is stored in the User Memory.
•Content registered in the “Favorites” (p. 25)
•Content in saved User Program (favorite performance settings) sets (p. 78)
1.To initialize your USB memory, first connect the USB memory to the Ext Memory port.
2.Press the [Function] (Exit) button, getting its indicator to light.
3.Press the [Song] (Select ] (Select +) button to display the FILE screen.
4.Press the [Song] (Select ] (Select +) button so “FORMAT” is flashing.
5.Press the [Moving Key] (Enter) button.
6.Press the [ ] (Value
] (Value +) button to select the memory to be initialized.

7.Press the [Moving Key] (Enter) button.
A confirmation message appears in the screen.
To return to the original screen without deleting the content of the User Memory or USB Memory, press the [Function] (Exit) button.
8.Press the [Moving Key] (Enter) button once more.
The content of the User Memory or USB Memory is deleted
*Be sure not to turn off the power as long as “Executing...” is displayed. Turning off the power at this time may corrupt the
*Executing this procedure does not initialize any settings other than the content of the User Memory. To restore the factory defaults for settings other than the User Memory content, carry out Factory Reset (p. 73).
