❖PurposeThis manual provides required information on using SAMS Basic application program. It explains installation and configuration of SAMS Communication Server Basic and Microsoft SQL Server 2005, which are required for SAMS Basic.
❖Target AudienceThis manual is designed for administrators manages the SAMS Basic with its installation, configuration and maintenance. The SAMS Basic administrator requires intermediate or higher knowledge and experience on Windows operating systems and its use. Also, Basic or intermediate knowledge on Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and network systems is required.

ACU | Acronym of Access Control Unit, which means a hardware for the access control | |

Door Lock | Electric door locking system which locks or unlocks a door according to the access | |
controller’s output signal. | ||

Door Contact | A device to check if a door is open or closed, usually installed with door lock devices. | |
