Device Management
The PSFR-CP41 can be managed through the RS-232 port, over Ethernet via
TelnetWeb-Browser, or via SNMP.FTP and TFTP are also supported for
firmware downloads.

Serial

The serial port allows forconfiguration of all device characteristics.

Ethernet/Web-Browser

The10BaseT Ethernet por t mustbe configured with an appropriate IP address
and netmaskpr ior to use.Default values are 1.1.1.1, with a mask of
255.255.255.0.

SNMP

The PSFR-CP41 includesSNMP management suppor t. SNMP is transported
viathe Ethernet connection (10BaseT por t). SNMP support allows configuration
and management usingany standard SNMP management tool. SNMP data is
definedin the SNMP MIB. Provides a private MIB for configuration of the PSFR-
CP41. Thepr ivateMIB includes all objects configurable from the terminal user
interface.The private MIB also includes some Fibre Channel and SCSI statistics
which are not accessiblevia the serial interface. SNMP support also includes
Traps,which are used to notify a SNMP management console of various condi-
tions.
Currently the IETF has no publiclydefined specification for a Fibre Channel
MIB.The objects defined in the private MIB are specific products.
