Youcan use a battery pack as a source of power. The PCGA-BP51A battery pack

supplied with your computer is not fully charged at the t ime of purchase. Follow the

stepsbelow to insertand charge the battery pack.

To insert the battery pack

1Makesure that the Lock lever on the bottom of the computer is on the Release

position.

2Align the grooves on the battery with the tabs and notches on the ba ck of the

computer,and then slid e the battery towards the co mputer until it clicks into pla ce.

3Slide the lock lever into the LOCK position to secure the batteryon the computer.

Make sure that the lid of your

computer is closed before you

insert/remove the battery pack.
