On Cleaning CD-ROM and DVD-ROM Disks
Fingerprints and dust on th e surface of a disk may cause read erro rs. Proper care
of the disk is essential to maintain its reliability. Do not use solvents such as
benzine, thinner,comm ercially available cleaners or anti-static spray, as they may
causedamage to the disk.
For normal cleaning, hold the disk by its edge and use a soft cloth to wipe the
surface from the center ou t.
Ift he disk is badly soiled, moisten a soft c loth with water, wring it out well, and
useittowipethesurfaceofthediskfromthecenterout.Wipeoffanyremaining
moisturewith a dry soft cloth.
On Using Batteries
Neverleave the battery pack in temperatures above 60°C, such as in a car parked
in the sun or under direct sunlight.
Battery life is shorter in a cold environment. This is due to decreased batt ery
efficiencyat low temperatures.
Chargethe batteries at temperatures between 10°Cto30°C.Lower temperatures
requirea longer charging time.
Whilethe battery is in use or being discharged, the battery pack heats up. This is
normal and is not cause for concern.
Keepthe battery pack away from all sources of heat.
Keepthe battery pack dry.
Donot openor try to disassemble the battery pack.
Do not expose the battery pack to any mechanical shock.
Ifyou arenot using the computer foran extended period of t ime, remove the
batterypack from the computer to prevent damage to the battery.
