When I turn on my computer, the message Operating system not found appears and
Windows does not start.
Check thefloppy disk drive to see if a non-bootable diskette is int hedrive.
Ifa non-bootable diskette is in thedrive, eject it and press anykey on your
keyboard. Windowst hen starts normally.
IfWindows st ill does not start, follow the procedure below to initialize the BIOS.
Ift he floppy disk drive is empty, follow the steps below to initialize the BIO S:
1Removeany peripheraldevices connected to the computer,
2Turnthecomputeroffandthenturnitonagain,
3Turnon the computer and press the F2 key when the Sony logo appears. The BIOS
setupmen u screenappears.
4PressthearrowkeystoselecttheExitmenu.
5Pressthe arrow keys to select Get Defau lt Values and then pressthe Enter key.The
messageLoad default configuration now? appears.
6Check that [Yes]is selected a nd then press the Enter key.
7PressthearrowkeystoselectExit (Save Changes) and then press Enter.The
messageSave configurationchanges and exit now? appears.
8Check that [Yes]is selec ted, then press the Enterkey. The computer will restart.
When I turn on my computer, the message No system disk or disk error. Replace and press
any key when ready appears and the computer does not start.
Remove the diskette from t he floppy disk drive by pres sing the Eject button and th en
pressany key.
