My system does not enter the power saving mode I selected

Confirmyour current notebook settings by proceedingas follows:

1Click Start,thenPrograms,Accessories,System Tools and System Information.

The Helpand Support screen appears. Ifa disk drive isinserted into the PC card

slot, close the card and remo ve it. See Toremove a PC Card for details.

2Inthe Toolsmenu, select System Configuration Utility.

3Click Advanced in the General tab.The AdvancedTroubleshooting Settings

screenappears.

4Make surethe Standby feature is enabled message is displayed. If the Standby

featureis disabled message is displayed, click the Enable button.

5Make surethe Hibernation feature is enabled message is displayed. If the

Hibernationfeature is disabled message is displayed, click the Enable button.

6Click OK andrestart your computer.

By default, the standby and

hibernation features are

enabled.
