About the computer and software
My computer does not start
Check thatthe compu teris plugged i nto apo wers ourceand that it is turned on.
Check that the power indicator on the front panel of the com puter indicates that
thepower is on.
Check thatthe battery pack is inserted properly and that it is charged.
Make surethere is no diskette in the floppy disk drive.
Confirm that the power cord and all cables are connected firmly.
Ifyo u have plugged the computer into an UPS, make sure the UPS is turned on
andworking.
Ifyo u areu sing an external display,check thati t is plugged into a power source
andturned on. Check t hatyou h ave switched to the external displayand thatthe
brightnessand contrast controls are adjustedcorrectly.Please refer to the manual
supplied with your display for details.
Moisture condensat ion may have occurred .D o not use the comput er for at least
onehour and then turn it on.
Whentheinternalbackupbatteryislowonpower,itmaynotbeabletostartyour
systemproperly. Please plug your computer to AC power.
The message Press <F1> to resume, <F2> to setup would appear at the bottom of
thedisplay. Should this happen, you need to initialize the BIOS.
Follow the steps in WhenIturnonmycomputer,themessage Operating system
not found appears and Windowsdoes not start.
If any of the above procedu res does not work, press t he reset switch on the bot tom of
thecomputer with a wire and then restart the computer.
