i.LINK™ device

Yourcomputerincludes an i.LINK (IEEE1394) connector,which you can use to connect

to an i.LINK™device such as a digital video camera recorder or another computer.

To connect a digital video camera recorder

1Plugoneendofthei.LINK™cableinto the i.LINK™connectorof the computer

andthe other end intothe DV Out connectoron the digital videocamera recorder.

2Launchthe D Vgate application. Please refer to DVgate in your Software Guide for

further details.

i.LINK™ cables compatible

with your VAIO notebook

include cables with the

following part numbers: VMC-

IL4415 (a 1.5 meter cable with

a 4-pin connector at each end),

VMC-IL4408Series (a 0.8 meter

cable with a 4-pin connector at

each end).

You cannot import data from an

i.LINK device if your computer is

in Ultimate Battery Life m ode.
