On Handling the LCD Screen
Donot leave the LCD facingthe sun as it can damage the LCD. Be careful when
using the computer near a window.
Donot scratch the LCD or exert pressure on it. This could cause malfunction.
Usingthe computer in low temperature conditions may produce a residual image
onthescreen.Thisisnotamalfunction.Whenthecomputerreturnstonormal
temperature,the screen returns to normal.
A residualimage m ay appear on the screen if the same image is displayed for a
lengthyperiod of time. The residual image disappears in a while. You can usea
screensaver to prevent residual images.
Thes creen becomes warm during operation. This is nor mal and does not indicate
amalfunction.
TheLCD is manufa cturedu sing high-precision technology.You may,howev er,see
tinyblack points and/or bright points (red, blue,or green)that continuously
appearon the LCD. This is a normal result of the manufacturing process and does
not indicate a malfunction.
On the Power Source
Yourcomputer operates on 100V-240V AC 50/60 Hz.
Do not share the AC outlet with other power-consuming equipment, such a s a
copying machine or shredder.
Youcan purchase a power stripwith a surge protector. Thisdevice prevents
damageto your computer caused by suddenpower surges such as those that may
occur during an electrical storm.
Do not place heavy objects on the power cord.
Todisconnect the cord, pull it out by the plug. Never pull the cord itself.
