The command above moves the paper to the next vertical tab position. There are no parameters. On receipt of this command, the printer prints data stored in the print buffer, and the paper moves to the next vertical tab position or (if there are no more vertical tab positions on the page), to the top of the next page. If no vertical tab po- sitions have been set with the cESD B command or if they have been cleared, the paper moves forward by one line.

The command above sets vertical tab positions, where the values represented by 010> to cnl> are binary values giving the vertical tab positions in lines from the top of the page. The values given must be in ascending order. If they are not, the squence will be terminated. The sequence must end with a <NUL> (ASCII OOh).If no values are given between the cESC> B and the &IUL>, then all vertical tab positions pre- viously set will be cleared. Printing will starton the (<n>+l th) line in standard mode, and the (olxh) line in IBM mode.
