4-5 Installing Fixed Hard Drives in SC743i Series Chassis Models
The SC743i series chassis features dual fixed storage modules. The system must be
Disconnecting the Chassis from the Power Source
1.Turn off all peripheral devices and turn off the power supply to the SC743.
2.Disconnect the AC power cord from the system.
3.Disconnect all cables and label the cables for easy identification.
4.Open the chassis side cover as described in section
5.Disconnect the wiring which runs to either the motherboard or the expansion card of the motherboard, depending upon your chassis model.
6.Unlock and open the door on the front of the chassis.
7.Insert the 3.5" drives into the fixed hard drive bays.
8.Secure the 3.5" drives into the fixed hard drive bays with the screws provided.
9.Close and lock the front cover.
10.Reconnect power to the system.
