3. ON LINE MODE

3.1 Operation Panel

This chapter describes usage and purpose of the keys on the Operation Panel in On Line Mode.

When the printer is in On Line Mode and connected to a host computer, normal operation of printing images on labels or tags can be accomplished.

The figure below illustrates the Operation Panel and key functions.

POWER LED (Green)

[FEED] key

LCD Message Display

ON LINE LED (Green)

ERROR LED (Red)

[PAUSE] key

[RESTART] key

The LCD Message Display shows messages in alphanumeric characters and symbols to indicate the printer’s status. Up to 16 characters can be displayed on one line.

There are three LED lights on the Operation Panel.

NOTE:

Use the [RESTART] key to resume printing after a pause

LED

Illuminates when…

POWER

The printer is turned on.

ON LINE

The printer is ready to

 

print.

 

 

ERROR

Any error occurs with

 

the printer.

Flashes when…

-----

The printer is communicating with your computer.

-----

condition, or after clearing an error.

There are three keys on the Operation Panel.

PAUSE

Used to stop printing temporarily.

RESTART

Used to restart printing.

FEED

Used to feed the media.
