Creating Additional Department Codes
1 In TopAccess, click the Counters tab.
2 Click the Copy/Print submenu.
3 In the “Enter a department code to access department
counters field,” enter the master department code.
4Click
Enter.
5Click
New.
The Add new department code window appears.
6 Enter the new department code and the new department
name.
Note: The system supports a maximum of 150 department
codes.
7Click
OK.
Displaying Print and Copy Totals
Regardless of whether the department code feature is enabled,
you can click the Counters tab to display print and copy totals.
Department Code Functionality
There are three possible cases:
nDepartment code feature is disabled
nDepartment code feature is enabled, but enforcement is not
nBoth the department code feature and the enforcement option
are enabled.
Department Code Feature is Disabled
In this case:
nThe controller ignores any department codes submitted with a
print job and does not prompt you to enter the code. This goes
for all jobs, including “raw” and non-Windows® operating
system jobs.
nIn the printer drivers, the Department Code la bel and Edit
field are disabled.
nIn TopAccess, the Enforce Department Codes option is
grayed out.
