How to Install Additional Memory

You can increase the random access memory (RAM) of your C55 printer to a maximum of 64 megabytes (MB). More RAM increases the font capability and enhances the speed of data transfer and complex page processing. Certain memory amounts are required to support enhancements to your C55 printer.

Memory kits are available in four configurations, packaged in single units each:

32 MB

16 MB

8 MB

4 MB

NOTE: SIMMs must be installed in pairs.

The C55 printer utilizes industry standard SIMMs with the following specifications:

72 pin, 70 ns (or faster) SIMMs

32 bit wide

Symmetric Refresh only (2K block)

NOTE: When installing memory SIMMs, the highest memory SIMM pairs must be installed in the J8 and J9 SIMM slots.
