LCD Display Overview

The LCD display for G-Series printers with the Wi-Fi (Wireless) or Bluetooth options provide user feedback for printer operations, some basic controls for printer functionality, printer display controls, and wireless connectivity information.

The control panel features three operator controls: the Feed button, the Scroll button and the Select button. The Feed button is used to advance one label or a pre-set length of continuos media. You can control display operation by using the Scroll and Select buttons. The Scroll button allows scrolling through the various options and settings. The Select button allows selection of the option or function displayed on the screen.

Note • While the control panel can be used to change some printer settings, many settings can only be changed using Set / Get / Do (SGD) commands. Refer to the ZPL II Programming Guide for information on the use of SGD commands.

When the number of selections are too numerous to be displayed on one screen, MORE will be listed at the bottom of the display. To access the additional selections, use the Scroll button to move down through the current screen and the display will list the next set of choices.

Menu Customization and WML

The G-Series™ printers allows for the use of Zebra’s WML menu customization language. The WML languge features both display and command abilities. See the WML section in the ZPL Programmer’s guide (for this printer) for details.
