Explanation

MEDIA TYPE

Set Media Type

This parameter tells the printer whether you are using continuous media,

non-continuous media or tag stock, or non-continuous black mark media

(see Types of Media on page 25).

Selections:

GAP/NOTCH—Used for non-continuous web media,

non-continuous fanfold media, and tag stock. Use the SENSOR

SELECT setting that gives the best results.

When using the transmissive sensor with media that has holes or

notches, position the media so that the transmissive media sensor

hole or notch. If the holes or notches cannot be positioned this way

for a particular type of media, use the reflective sensor.

CONTINUOUS—Used for media that does not have divisions

between labels. SENSOR SELECT should be set to DEFAULT or

TRANSMISSIVE.

MARK—Used for non-continuous black mark media. SENSOR

SELECT should be set to DEFAULT or REFLECTIVE.

Default Value: GAP/NOTCH
