LOAD DEFAULTS |
| Load Factory Defaults |
|
| Sets all parameters back to factory defaults. |
|
| Important • Use care when using this command. All printer |
|
| parameters are reset to factory values with this command. If |
|
| possible, print a configuration label to have as a record of the |
|
| printer’s settings before loading defaults. |
|
| How to select this parameter: |
|
| 1. Press ENTER. |
|
| The printer asks ARE YOU SURE? |
|
| 2. To load factory defaults, press ENTER to select YES. To cancel, press |
|
| any other key. |
|
|
|
INIT FLASH MEM |
| Initialize Flash Memory |
|
| This parameter allows you to erase the printer’s Flash memory. |
|
| Important • The internal Flash memory is entirely erased with this |
|
| command. |
|
| To select this parameter: |
|
| 1. Press ENTER to select YES. |
|
| The printer asks ARE YOU SURE? |
|
| 2. To initialize Flash memory, press ENTER. To cancel, press any other |
|
| key. |

RIBBON |
| Set Ribbon Use |
|
| Note • This parameter appears only for printers that have the |
|
| Thermal Transfer option installed. |
|
| The printer can automatically detect if you are using ribbon. However, you |
|
| may use this parameter to tell the printer the method of printing that you |
|
| wish to use each time: direct thermal (no ribbon) or thermal transfer (using |
|
| ribbon). |
|
| Selections: |
|
| • AUTO (the printer detects if ribbon is present) |
|
| • NO (direct thermal mode, no ribbon) |
|
| • YES (thermal transfer mode, with ribbon) |
|
| Default Value: AUTO |
|
| To modify this parameter: |
|
| • Press the up or down arrow to scroll through the selections. |
