This section explains how to use the 8080 for controlling an external effect device or amplifier, and how to use the Initialize mode to reset the 8080 to the factory default condition.

Activate the Edit mode and select "EXT" (external distortion) as the effect type of the DIST module.
If required, set the "BST" (booster type), "SND" (send level), and "LVL" (signal level for next module) parameters.
Store the patch as required.Operation Advanced
Leave the external effect device always turned on and perform simulated on/off switching at the 8080. ✎NO
✎ When an external effect is selected, but nothing is connected to the RETURN jack, the sound will not be interrupted, because the 8080 NOinternally sends the signal to the next module. However, the EXT module parameters settings will be active, so that the sound may be different
from the sound with the SND parameter set to "off".
