6.5 TASK - - CAMERA ASSEMBLY REMOVAL and REPLACEMENT

Four slot-head screws secure the camera board to the camera shelf. Connection to the rest of the system are made from the camera board. The camera board is connected by a ribbon cable and by one coax cable to the Video Board.

Equipment, Tools & Materials Required:

Standard Slot-head Screwdriver

Procedure for Removing and Replacing Camera Assembly:

1.Disconnect the cables.

2.Remove the camera by unscrewing the four slot-head screws that secure it to the shelf.

3.Remove any plastic shim material that was under the camera board. Slide the camera board towards the back of the scanner.

4.Install the new camera board.

5.Install the cables.

6.Perform focus, magnification, splice, and merge adjustments, and the proceed with the calibration of the camera.
