Cisco EtherSwitch Service Modules Feature Guide

Troubleshooting the Cisco EtherSwitch Service Module Software

DETAILED STEPS

Command or Action

Purpose

Step 1

service-module interface slot/port password-reset

Resets the password on the router.

Example:

Router# service-module gigabitethernet1/0

Entering yes deletes the configuration file.

Note This configuration can only be done if the

service-module session command is entered

within 50 seconds after entering the

service-module password-reset command.

Step 3

dir flash:

Displays a list of all files and directories in flash

memory on the service module.

Example:

rommon> dir flash:

Step 4

load_helper filesystem:/file-url ...

Loads and initializes one or more helper images.

Example:

Switch: load_helper flash: xyz

Step 5

boot

Boots the system.

Example:

Switch: boot

Step 6
