1.13. Request product serial number identification (+CGSN)
Execution command causes the TA to return one or more lines of information text <sn>, determined by the MT manufacturer, which is intended to permit the user of the TA to identify the individual MT to which it is connected to. Typically, the text will consist of a single line containing the IMEI (International Mobile station Equipment Identity; refer 3GPP TS 23.003 [7]) number of the MT, but manufacturers may choose to provide more information if desired.

1.14. Select TE character set (+CSCS)
Set command informs TA which character set <chset> is used by the TE. TA is then able to convert character strings correctly between TE and MT character sets.
