7.2Listening to recorded messages using the base unit
When the unit has recorded new voice messages:
–The {AUTO ANSWER} indicator will flash when auto answer is turned ON.
–The total number of recorded messages will flash on the base unit display.
7.2.1 To play back messages

Press {PLAYBACK}.
L Only new messages will be played. |
L After playing back all of the new messages, the |
{AUTO ANSWER} indicator will stop flashing but will |
remain lit up when auto answer is turned ON. If you |
press {PLAYBACK} at this time, all the recorded |
messages will be played. |
Voice time/day stamp
During playback, the unit will announce the day of the week and time that each message was recorded.
If you subscribe to Caller ID service
During playback, you can call back the displayed name or number using the base unit.
1.Press {MENU} during playback. L The base unit stops playback.
L If you do not need to edit the telephone number, skip to step 3.

7.2.3 Erasing recorded messages
To erase a specific message
Press {ERASE} while listening to the message you want to erase.
To erase all messages
Press {ERASE}. i{SET}
7.3Listening to recorded messages using the cordless handset
When the unit has recorded new voice messages:
–“New message” will be displayed on the cordless handset display.
–The message alert indicator (1) will flash if the message alert feature is activated (feature 0# on page 51).

To repeat a message
Press {<} while listening to the message.
L If you press {<} within 5 seconds of the beginning of |
the message, the previous message will be played. |

and search for the message you want to listen to. |
To skip a message
Press {>} to play the next message.
To stop playback temporarily
Press {STOP}.
LIf you press {PLAYBACK} within 1 minute, the unit will resume playing the rest of the messages.

L“Message play” is displayed.
2{Select} (soft key 2)
LThe unit will announce the number of new messages, and will play back the new messages.
3Press {OFF} to end the operation.
