5.5Uninstalling
This section describes the procedure for deleting the Direct Print Utility from Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows Me.
To delete the Direct Print Utility from the system, carry out the following steps:
Delete all the relevant printer ports: FX TCP/IP DPU Port.
Delete all the related files: FX DPU Port.
Restart the system.
Procedure
Start Windows 95, Windows 98 or Windows Me.
Open the "Properties" dialog box of a printer that uses the relevant printer port (e.g.FX TCP/IP DPU Port). Click the "Details" tab and change the port setting from the printer port used to another one like LPT1.
Save the new setting by clicking "Apply".
Repeat Step for all other printers that use this printer port.
In any of the "Properties" dialog box of the printers, click Delete Port.
A "Delete Port" dialog box appears. Select all the entries of the relevant printer port (e.g. FX TCP/IP DPU Port) and click OK. Make sure all the entries for the Direct Print Utility Port have been deleted before proceeding to the next step.
Click Start and select Settings, followed by Control Panel.
Under the "Install/Uninstall" tab, search and select the program to be deleted
