Maximum Writing Speed and Bit Depth

The maximum speed of the CD ROM burner accepted by the RFX units is 12X. The max- imum bit rate range possible is 32kb/sec–320kb/sec. For best performance of scrolling display, before creating a file system in your CDR burning program, select the CD layout properties menu and file system tabs. The JOLIET file format is preferred, this allows a maximum of 24 upper and lowercase scrolling characters to be displayed. The use of ISO9660 file format and selecting the Long File Names option on your PC will work, however, this allows a only a maximum of 16 uppercase scrolling characters to be dis- played.

NOTE: Make sure that when a MP3 CD is burned that it is formatted as a data disc and NOT as an audio disc.
