TILLER ADJUSTMENT

PROCEDURE 8

ALL OTHER MODELS (FIGURE 2)

NOTE: The Powered Scooters features an adjustable tiller. This allows you to lock the tiller in to a position that is most comfortable for you. It also lets you fold down the tiller for transport and storage.

NOTE: The angle adjustments on models built BEFORE 10/00 have three (3) adjustment positions. The angle adjustments on models built AFTER 10/00 have five (5) adjustment positions.

1.Adjust the seat to a comfortable position. Perform one (1) of the following:

A.For models LYNX SX-3, LYNX LX-3, AND LYNX LX-3Plus, refer to ADJUSTING THE SEAT DEPTH in PROCEDURE 5 of this manual.

B.For PANTHER LX-4 and PANTHER MX-4 with deluxe seats, refer to ADJUSTABLE SEAT SLIDE in PROCEDURE 5 of this manual.

2.The tiller release lever is located on the lower left side of the tiller.

3.Support the tiller with your right-hand.

4.Push the release lever in toward the tiller to release the tiller.

5.Adjust the tiller to desired adjustment hole.

6.When the tiller is at the desired angle, pull the release lever away from the adjustment plate.

7.Gently, push/pull against tiller to ensure that the tiller is securely engaged into the locking mechanism.

NOTE: The tiller is locked in position when an audible click is heard.
