| To set up a conference call: |
From an NBX Business Telephone:
1Dial a call, or receive a call from someone else.
2While on the call, press Conference button. The system selects a new line and places the first party on hold.
3Dial a call to a third party, wait for that party to answer the call. Press Conference button again.
Until you press Conference button a second time, the first party is on hold, and you may converse with the second party privately.
4Repeat steps 1 and 2 to conference in a fourth party.
To use your speaker phone during the conference call, press the Speaker button. Press the Mute button to turn off the microphone. The other parties cannot hear you, but you can hear them. For details about the Speaker and Mute features, see “Telephone Buttons and Controls” in Chapter 2.
From an NBX Basic Telephone:
1Dial a call, or receive a call from someone else.
2While on the call, press Feature button and 430. The existing call is placed on hold, and the icon corresponding to that line begins to blink on the display.
3You hear a dial tone, and the icon corresponding to the second line is solid on the display.
4Dial a call to another party, wait for that party to answer the call, press Feature button and 430 again. All three parties are now in the conference call.
