The public switched telephone network (PSTN)

Calls come into the IR system from the public switched telephone network (PSTN). Calls from the PSTN can reach the IR system in one of three ways:

A MultiVantage (DEFINITY) system receives the calls from the PSTN and passes them to the IR system through direct digital connections between the two systems.
