Thermador Built-in Oven Warranty

WHAT IS COVERED

For one (1) year from the date of installation or date of first occupancy for a newly constructed previously unoccupied dwelling, any part which fails in normal home use due to a manufacturer’s defect (as opposed to failure caused by another party’s acts or omis- sions, such as consumer misuse or abuse, improper installation, or shipping damage), will be repaired or replaced free of charge. You must save your original receipt or other evidence of the installation/occu- pancy date. Thermador® will pay for all necessary repair labor and replacement parts found to be de- fective in material or workmanship, strictly condi- tioned on service being provided by an authorized service representative during normal business hours. Replacement will only be made in the event that re- pair proves reasonably unfeasible.

WHAT IS NOT COVERED

1.Service, or damage caused by an unauthorized person or agency or use of unauthorized parts.

2.Damage caused by consumer misuse or abuse or damage caused by any third party’s acts or omissions.

3.Damages resulting from accident, alteration, mis- use, abuse, shipping, improper installation (in- cluding installation not in accordance with local electrical codes or plumbing codes), improper storage of the appliance, and any property dam- age not due to the direct result of a manufacturer’s defect.

4.Damages caused by anything other than normal, non-commercial, household use.

5.Service visits to:

Teach you or others how to use the appliance.

Correct installation problems (you are solely responsible for providing all necessary elec- trical wiring and other connecting facilities, for proper foundation/flooring, and for any alter- ations (including cabinetry, walls, floor, shelv- ing, etc.) necessary for installation.

Reset circuit breakers or replace home fuses.

WARRANTY APPLICATIONS

This warranty applies to appliances used in normal family households; it does not cover their use in com- mercial situations.

This warranty is for products purchased and retained in the 50 states of the U.S.A., the District of Colum- bia and Canada. The warranty applies even if you should move during the warranty period. Should the appliance be sold by the original purchaser during the warranty period, the new owner continues to be protected until the expiration date of the original purchaser's warranty period.

MANUFACTURER DOES NOT ASSUME, AND SPECIFICALLY DISCLAIMS, ANY RESPONSIBIL- ITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, NOMINAL, INDIRECT, “BUSINESS LOSS”, OR PU- NITIVE DAMAGES. MANUFACTURER SPECIFI- CALLY DISCLAIMS ANY AND ALL WARRANTIES OR REPRESENTATIONS, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE OR WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY. This limited warranty and limi- tation of damages may be subject to applicable legal restrictions. This warranty gives you certain legal rights, and you may have other legal rights at law which may vary jurisdictionally.
